I Am the Resurrection and the Life | John 11:20-26
As Mark shared last week, we’re looking at the “I am” statements of Jesus as found in John’s Gospel. But in particular, in light of the Easter season we’re in, we’re considering our remaining “I am” statements specifically through the lens of Christ’s resurrection. Last week Mark walked us through Christ as the Good Shepherd. Today we’re looking at Christ as the Resurrection and the Life. So here’s the plan. We’ll begin by talking about death. We’ll then talk about resurrection. And from there I want us to consider how the resurrection of Jesus connects to our lives, not just in the future, but even in the here and now. John already read our verses, so let’s begin by looking to
our Lord in prayer.
