I Am the True Vine | John 14:1-4
Mark and I been using this Eastertide season to look at the “I am” statements found in John’s Gospel. But in particular (especially since Easter), we’ve been seeking to look at these statements through the lens of Christ’s resurrection. In other words, in light of the empty tomb, in light of the stone that was rolled away, exactly how are we to embrace Jesus as our “good shepherd,” and as our “resurrection,” and as “the way, the truth, and life,” and as we’ll see today, as our “true vine”? What difference does this make? How does this impact our identity and our day-to-day lives? That’s the goal for today. Pattie already read our text, let’s jump in and begin by looking to our Lord in prayer.
