Grace and the Joy of Sabbath Rest | Exodus 20:8-11
We’re using these summer months to look at the OT, and in particular at the “habits of grace” that are set before us in the pages of Scripture. As Mark noted last week, these habits are not to be seen as daunting tasks rooted in sheer effort, but instead as gracious gifts fueled by Christ’s redeeming work. Today we want to focus on the joy of Sabbath rest. As we’ve been doing
throughout this series, we’ll start in the OT, we’ll then move to the New. From there I’ll share some practical things that might help us grow in this area. But in doing so, it’s my hope to connect all of this to the grace of God that is extended to us through the work of the gospel.
